The Jolly Hotel du Grand Sablon, located in the square after which it was named, was built to harmoniously blend in with the architecture of the neighbouring buildings. The use of coloured marbles and the numerous bas relieves in the interior is a nice addition to the sophisticated and comfortable surroundings. Located between the Royal Palace and the Grand Place, the Grand Sablon square is renowned for its antiques shops as well as the famous antiques market, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, attracting many connoisseurs and tourists alike.
