It was lovely. In fact room was not as spacious as it looked on the pics, bathroom was too tiny, no closet in the room, and local area was a bit like ghetto, but it was totally worth its price. Staff was very friendly and helpful, towels all clean, front desk was a very kind guy, as well as the manager. The room was not perfect but because of excellent service we enjoyed our stay. The place is good for group of friends but it's not for families or high maintenance people.

Location was exactly on metro station just oposite the road. Even thougth our room was facing the busy street when we closed plastic windows we didnt hear anything. We got clean towels every day. For the price you pay it offers resonable quality.

Guests should also be provided information on whether or not the hotel has lifts (elevators), the hotel surroundings in terms of the people that live in the community. This is probably the worst hotel I have checked in. There are much better hotels in the Philippines at a third of the price.

The room was too small, it could have been bigger. And the quietness of the room is very low! There is no lift in the hotel! The receptionists could have spoken English a bit better. Otherwise, everything was good.

The hotel is kind of run down and situated in the ghetto (last metro stop in the north of Paris) BUT it's not bad. You get what you pay for and if you're looking for somewhere cheap to rest your head in Paris this place is absolutely fine. Sheets and towels were changed daily (Don't be afraid to ask for them if they're not there). The staff were very nice and let us keep our bags in reception during our last day so we could wander Paris some more before our flight. We did not use the kitchen facilities so I can only comment on the fact that they exist. Bathrooms were compact but appreciated ensuite facilities for this price. There is a grocery store down the street but also loads of bar/brasseries where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Found there weren't too many english speaking people in the area but got by on the french we knew and everyone we met was lovely and generally helpful. The Metro stop is right next to the hotel (which is above the Au Bouquet Brasserie and near the McDonald's for landmarks). I would suggest going to Paris armed with a Metro Map and to use the Metros as you can get EVERYWHERE so easily with them. The hotel is open 24 hours so you can stay in bed as long as you want and come in as late as you want. You must make your payment at the start of your stay (unlike stated on the Venere website) by cash or most major cards. For the price, would be willing to stay there again.

We really enjoyed a lot our stay in La Terrasse. Omar and Mohamed were extremely kind and helpful persons and we really thanks them both all their helpful advices. We highly recommend La Terrasse. We had subway and bus station just at 10-12 mts!! it was a gift.

Location of the hotel was great - a minutes walk from the Metro entrance. Actual hotel was run down and shabby and rooms were not very clean. Returned for a ealry evening nap at 4.30pm after being out since 9.30am and room had not been cleaned. Bathroom was far too cramped.

We only saw an employee by arriving. Good points: * The room was clean. * There was soap in the bathroom Bad points: * Very small bed (my feet did not fit in it. I'm 1.80 meter) * The windows could not closed so we heared all the noise from the street. * One of the lamps by the bed did not have a glass.

This was the first time at this Hotel. Price and quality related perfectly. Very small triple room, but we managed and expected this. Very nice staff. We only thought there was breakfast included, not clear at the website, and breakfast was not included, as we found out. No possibilities for coffee, didn't matter because there is a very nice place at the ground floor. I would absolutely go again to this hotel. Metro is just in front of it. If you just need a good bed and a shower and low costs, it's perfect! Nice staff to children as well.

Hi Everybody! The Hotel is what I looked for. There are many rooms in a very little space. There are 4 levels, but there are no lifts..There is a little hall in which is possibile to use the internet and doing some chat. The room uses an advanced sistem of cards instead of heavy keys. The rooms are very small, but very confortable. They are warm and have all that you need, a bed, a table, tv, and a complete bathroom, three lights and three windows. The wardrobe is very small. The hotel faces a big square. There are many lights and life, and very near many shops and the beautiful Montmartre (the place of artists and Mouline Rouge) zone. And just under the Hotel, you have the famouse Marche Aux Puces of Sanint Ouen and the Undergroung stop "Port de Clignancourt" and many many busus for every part of Paris.I tell you this: The Hotel is very simple but has everything you need, internet, a warm room, a soft bed and a complete bathroom. If you are going to visit Paris for little this is a very nice place. In addition you have Montmartre, underground, buses and Marche aux puces!

The hotel has a metro station on its corner and make it very acessible to go downtown. It is far downtown but at least you can take the metro. The bathroom of my room was fairly clean but the sheets on my bed, I dont believe they changed it. The room was very tiny but for 42 euros it was ok. There is a market in front of the hotel and you can buy food and save money. I had a problem with the shuttle that was taking me to the airport and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They called me a cab and waited with me till the cab arrived since it was very early in the morning and dark. There is no lift. I stayed on the 5th floor and had to take my bags all the way up on the narrow stairs...quite tiresome. There are computers you can use, paying by hour and also a public kitchen where you can heat things on the microwave. Lots of people would buy some frozen food at the market and heat there. Also in front of the hotel there is a mc donalds and some restaurants, fairly cheap. Everything went fine during my stay and I wouldn't stay there again because it is far from downtown.

Ok, Hotels in Paris are different, don´t expect to much! The room is small, the bed is small, the bathroom is the smallest. But it is clean and the area is ok, but have an eye on your bag!! Fast food restaurants and bars are nearby, Metrostation in front of the door. But in the night it is too loud in the hotel, you can hear every activity of other guests. The satelite TV has one english (BBC) Program and 2 german Programs ( vox, zdf). But who watched TV in Paris? The breakfast for 5 € is absolut fair, in a bar you pay for the same breakfast 7,50€ - 8,50€.

The place is ok, comparing with the price. Easy to get to the public transport station. Staffs are warmly welcome, and the common space of the hotel is good, friednly and meet expectation. However, the room is too small. and sometimes noisy, especially in the midnight. I stayed in a double suited room, and for me, its ok.

Saludos!

Rundown flophouse in a downright scary neighborhood. Tiny extremely uncomfortable rooms, paper thin walls, bedsheets that felt like rough paper. Worst place I have ever stayed, bar none. I want you to know this at Venere but do not want the hotel to know my name because I was truly frightened by them. I paid cash because I didn't even want them to see my credit card.

Nice place to stay, if you want to spend a few days in Paris real cheap... Not for the pretencious type... not for people that want nice service and food... Main point - you have a clean bed and hot water, as well as roof above your head.... Also, maybe you'd like to train a bit before you get a room at the top floors... it's a bit hard on the stairs ;) Price - quality relationship is very good

A very basic and simple hotel, but hey, it's Paris, and it's almost a miracle to find a room for 50 Euros in that city! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and we only needed the room for sleeping. We rather spent our money on doing Paris than on a luxurious hotel room... The location is great, right next to the metro and near the Montmarte district. We maybe wouldn't stay there if we spent a whole week in Paris, but for a weekend it's really okay!

No, There were no lifts! I had to carry my suitcase to the 5th floor. I was harassed and threatened at the McDonalds accross the street. The place is very unsafe and it is located in the ghetto. Thank god I arrived late and checked out early morning the next day. The staff though were very helpful and friendly. If not for my late arrival, I would have moved to a different hotel.

We stayed at de la Terrasse for 1 night after a long vacation - chosen for ease of travel to airport the next morning. The hotel was dreary and small (not to mention up several flights of narrow, winding stairs). We arrived very late at night so perhaps it would have looked better in the daylight, but I was not impressed. The surrounding neighborhood isn't great, in fact we were warned to "be careful" by our taxi driver. However the nightly rate was cheap, so this is likely a case of "you get what you pay for," which we knew going in. All things considered, just passable for budget travellers, but not highly recommended in general.

I stayed in Paris for 4 days and I am content to have chosen Hotel de la Terrasse. It is situated in a multicultural area and the metro station is very close. Very clean and very friendly reception. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that my room was on the fifth floor and there is no elevator. But the friendly man in the reception helped me with my suitcase. I would chose Hotel de la Terrasse for another stay in Paris.

You won't find any hotel like that in Paris for that price. I had to change my reservation the night before and they did it without charging my credit card. It is not in the downtown but it is just at a few steps from the metro station. Very Helpful Staff. The surroundings are not the most beautiful place in Paris but it is not bad and we didn't have any problem with ayone even arriving at the hotel at midnight. It is good value for your money. The room we stayed in was very small - just big enough for a queen size bed. The bathroom was tiny also - about 2 x 5 feet. The location of the hotel was excellent - right across the street from Pont de Clignancourt and a quick metro ride or about 3 miles away from most of the attractions. IMPORTANT: The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of the building (over a restaurant), and there are no elevators and the hotel has a spiral staircase, so traveling with large luggage is a definate hassle if staying here.
