Not happy about staff entering to clean the room when the "Do not disturb" sign was clearly visible on the door. Clean cheap and cheerful. Didn't have breakfast. Overall a lovely area to stay. Very handy for Metro. Bercy an easy 15minute walk. A lovely surprise is the Butchers/Deli next door to the hotel. Also an excellent Bakery and fruit shop are less than 60seconds from the hotel

Very good hotel in it´s price range. Clean room, nice staff and close to the metro. Easy access by car. Can recommend the Italian restaurant further down the road. Only minus is that even the smallest kids have to pay full price for the hotel breakfast.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Most of the staff were very helpful, however, one gentleman (I use the term kindly), who appeared to be the day manager or possibly the owner, seemed to be far from pleased that we were staying in "his" hotel. But I would stay again since the price was extremely reasonable for Paris, the location was right on one of the main subway lines, and the neighborhood was quite nice.

it was situated in a nice spot very close to the local metro station. would definitly go back to the same spot again. Loved Paris, although there wasn't enough room to swing a cat in the room!!!

It was a very pleasent stay: we enjoyed everything! The rooms were very clean, quiet, staff was friendly. The place of a hotel is very comfortable- the metro station is about 100metres aside. To finish with, I really have to say that this hotel is the best relationship between price and quality. Have a good time in Paris!:)

clean hotel but too far from the center.. metro 8 is not well connected with the main touristic places.

Although Sport Hotel was quite far out on the east side of Paris its closeness to Metro stations meant this was not a problem. Lovely park(Bois de Vincennes)only 5 mins walk away. At the entrance to the park there is a museum with a fantastic aquarium in the basement! Hotel is in a fairly busy tree-lined street which meant some traffic noise but you can get courtyard facing rooms which I assume would be much quieter. Rooms wre clean and an ok size for the price. Staff were always helpful and spoke English.Didn't have to check out until 11.30 on day of departure and hotel kept our luggage until late afternoon.Shops and restaurants were nearby. Found this hotel fine as a base for a weekend break.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for six nights and were delighted with the cleanliness of the roomss, the staff were quite friendly and the location was great. There are not alot of tourists in this area but this means you get to see France and Paris as it really is, and there is a lovely lake where you can go rowing and a great zoo which is only a 5minute walk away, and the metro is just outside the door, it is a very safe area of Paris. Some noise can be heard from guests in the rooms next to yours, but not much but I must note that the lifts are very narrow, and old fashioned, this didnt bother me but was bf was a bit anxious about this. Overall though I would definitely reccommend this hotel, anything you ask the staff for they are more than willing to help, and both my bf and myself would definitely stay here again.

Tutto tranquillo.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and happy to speak English if required. The hotel itself was quiet at night, but the road outside was busier than anticipated and would be very noisy if the window had to be kept open. There was no air conditioning in the room. Metro was very close.

I'd recommend the Sport: clean, efficient, quiet and new. The staff are very pleasant and it's perfect for a couple of nights on a budget. The other reviews were pretty accurate, on the whole. The only drawback is that it's much further out than the map suggests; too far to walk and on an awkward metro line. Otherwise, we had a lovely time. Thanks to all staff!

My mother and I enjoyed our stay in Sport Hotel very much. Though it's a bit far from central Paris, it's located in a quiet and lovely street with shops around, and the metro station is within 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. The lady in the reception was very kind and helpful. I will definitely return if I have a chance to visit Paris again.

Hotel met our needs, but a subway strike of the workers made it hard to get around as we planned, but we made the best of it with transportation by buses, walking (a lot), and taxis. The bus rides allowed us to see the most of the streets of Paris. Not bad for a day stay.

I been in paris in several time so I know about budget hotels and this hotel was excellent in comparation with others. I arrived around 10:30 am and they let me get in so I could rest.Rooms are nice...remember is just a hotel. The staff very helful and warm. Some of them speak english. They will charge for breakfast $7.00 eur,(which is coffe and 2 pieces of bred).but you are hungry you will find cheap places around to eat, or just buy food to carry to your room which is nice.Metro station near to hotel.

We stayed in Paris as tourists. Nothwithstanding the room faced on a traffic road, it was comfortably quiet. Breakfast was better than in surrounding bistrots. The only complaint is the absence of a security box for keeping valuable objects or money.

Cordiali i gestori e stanza pulita. Consigliato

This is the first time we visit Paris. Anyway we are satisfied of the city, hotel but above all of the means of transport (e.g. metropolitan). Even if the hotel is not near to the major museums and monuments there is a metropolitan station at 1 minute on foot from the hotel.

Stayed there during the New Year holiday period (31 Dec 04 - 03 Jan 05). The single room was comfortable. Only complaint is that the shower cubicle is a tad too small. It is located very close to metro Michel Bizot (less than 5 mins walk) and you can find amenities (shops, laundry, ATMs) within the neighbourhood. The staff are also very friendly. Overall, a good 2-star hotel.

We would have liked a room on the street side so as not to just look at rooftops. However, everything else was as expected and the staff most helpful. The area had everything we needed including close metro stops for two different lines. Plenty of shops in the area for food both restuarnts as well as bakeries. We took the 70 a day room when I think the 55 day a room rate would have been good enough. We thought the 70 a day room would give us a view of the front steet and not the rooftop area, but overall we were satisfied and the room probably was quieter than the front rooms.
