I was travelling with my daughter for a vacation for her 18th birthday. The hotel is located near a metro station, in a ghetto area! At night outside the metro station it can be dangerous, since there are many homeless and drunk people. On Venere.com I read that the hotel was newly renovated. False information! The hotel is undergoing renovation now! Upon our arrival we found electrical wires hanging from the ceiling and from the walls, exposed pipes.....and for a day we were left without hot water! I would not return to this hotel and I do not recommend this hotel as well.

The room smelled quite badly.

Overall it was what we were looking for: something cheap and cheerful. It is close to Gare du Nord and main metro lines which makes it an easy place to get to and move from. But don´t go to the restaurant on the corner (a recommendation of the consierge) as it is a tourist trap.

Two good and useful advices: 1. DO NOT order a taxi via the hotel - you will most probably get a pirate taxi with a non-english/french-speeking taxidriver, with no speedometer, no taxi-number and without possibility to pay with visa-card etc. At the arrival day we payed 32 euros from the airport to the hotel in a "normal parisian" taxi - from the hotel to the airport we had to pay 55 euros in cash and with no opportunity to reduce this price (we didn't speak asian). Order a taxi by your selves or use RER or bus. 2. Check out the sum thorougly when checking out. We payed 78 euros too much - but got almost the whole sum back when contacting the hotel after a couple of days.

Good enough for a short stay, very near to the Gare de Nord - i.e. good connections to the inner city and CdG. Bathroom was clean, but very small bedroom. We'll look for a more centrally located place next time.

Convenient location, sensible price in relation to location. Very good continental breakfast in interesting 'cellar'. Some rooms can be noisy, especially overlooking street, but on the whole comfortable, warm, and convenient to Gare du Nord

When we arrived they tried to put us into a room that had two shabby single beds pushed together. we complained and we were given a better room. The hotel was ok at best and i know i did not pay over the odds for it but as sombody that travels 3-4 times a month with work i feel that for that price there were alot better hotels available.

Big room with full bath, bidet & shower. Very clean and staff accomodating. Hotel a bit away from the centre (on a small Metro stop,) but hotel quiet & relaxed. Would definitely stay there again no problem.
