Centrally and peacefully located, between the Lungarno and Borgognissanti, the hotel dates from 1792; it has recently been totally restructured. Spacious and elegant, the hotel reflects the history and fascination of the City of the Lily. The antique furniture, the valuable Florentine paintings on the walls, the large and beautifully thought-out rooms, create an intimate and sophisticated atmosphere. There are nine suites (including the prestigious Tolstoj Suite which has an attractive 19th-century Tuscan oil painting), and an entire floor of the hotel is reserved for non-smokers. The restaurant Il Granduca is decorated in floral Liberty style and serves the most delicious dishes of Tuscan and Mediterranean cooking. The hotel also has a number of conference rooms, capable of holding 240 persons.
