This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever been inside of. The rooms were filthy, the bathrooms disgusting. Bugs abound. I would never advise anyone to stay in this hotel.

Our room was quite poor: dirty floor and walls, and too little bathroom. However the public area is big and the breakfast great.

Very well located at a reasonable price. Friendly service but if you arrive in a private car please note that parking is not included in the price - add approx. 33 EUR a day at garage nearby. However it is Firenze with limited parking areas, so what can you expect!

This hotel was really hard to find-espicially if you have a car and don't know the city well. It was a little older then I thought it would be but it was sufficient. The bathrooms are terribly small also.

Great location. Short walk from the train station and the duomo and very easy to find. A bit expensive but nice room. Get a room facing the garden as its very quiet, nice view of the duomo too

Il rapporto qualita' prezzo ha lasciato desiderare...ma bisogna anche capire che i prezzi a Firenze come a Roma sono così.. La pulizia e' molto scarsa e state attenti: il garage non è di proprieta' dell'albergo. Avete un'altra bella spesa sorpresa da fare..! pazienza..

A suggestion: ask for a room in the garden-side. It 's less noisy! No problem concerning others aspects, if you don't expect too much.

The hotel caters for school trips and while we were there we had problems around getting breakfast as the children took all available food, and on our last night which was the first night of a new group we were kept awake with children running up and down the hallway and banging on our door and then constantly telephoning our room.

Our stay at the Castri was great! The garden is beautiful and very peaceful. Breakfast was good. Service was great. Location was perfect. It was far enough away from major sites that it wasn't terribly loud (esp. with a room on the garden side), but close enough to walk anywhere. Great restaurants close by. Website said that internet is available; this is a little misleading. It is not available at the hotel (unless you use dial-up) but is available around the corner. It was great for the price and an overall great stay. I would go there again.

I have only 2 suggestions: 1. some international TV channels (for higher price) and 2. comfortable arm chairs in the bedrooms would be welcome.

* The hotel offers low quality accommodation facilities for the price charged (120 € per night) compared to other 3-star hotels I have been accommodated in in Italy. Rooms are very simply furnished with no effort on decoration and the bathroom is poorly equipped. * The car park facilities mentioned on the web site are not part of the hotel and are charged separately (23 € per day). * The breakfast buffet is very simple and does not offer a wide range of meeals. The only advantage of the hotel is its location within a walking distance from Firenze city centre and monuments. However the surrounding district is quite poorly inhabited.
