Huge, but clean and competent business-class hotel in the Prati area. If you're a tourist, not much local character, either in the hotel or the neighborhood, but a fine place to sleep and not far from where you want to go.

The staff was extremely rude and indifferent from the moment we arrived. The only polite treatment we recieved was from the gentleman who took our car to the garage. Even the hotel restaurant employees were careless and aloof. The location and facilities were great, but due to the poor treatment we recieved combined with the ridiculous prices, I would never stay there again.

Very good location - handy for visiting the majority of central Rome. Shame that hotel bar closes at 11.30pm and no night-time room service either - which would have been handy (especially after a delayed flight that gets in very late!) Breakfast was good - but variety was poor - same thing every day. We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, and even though our stay was pleasant, overall it appears to have gone downhill since then - so next time we will stay elsewhere.

Located in stategic place as starting point for tourist walks to Rome beauties. Very helpful and professional persons at reception. At our arrival we have been given a room at about 12 am (generally too early for room occupation in hotels). Good breakfasts. Nice food places close to hotel, for any price level. Close to Vatican. I would certainly go back here for a next visit to Rome. I would surely recommend this hotel to friends.

Initially we were allocated a box...almost travel lodge standard. Were allocated a new room after a request. Room size pulls back the price comparison to the quality.

Nice location, close to Metro. Walking distance to Vatican. Rooms reasonably priced, adequate and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. No phone book or "Yellow Pages" in room. Finding places to eat out made difficult by lack of listings of eateries and lack of phone books. Breakfast average. Front desk staff not always helpful. They appeared to be always busy and did not seem eager to help guests. Front desk offered to book taxi service to Leonardo da Vinci airport and assured us that the fare would be a fixed price of 45 Euros; booking for the taxi was made ahead of time but taxi came late and at the airport the taxi driver demanded payment by meter rate in amount that turned out to be 60 Euros.

I would definitively recommend this hotel to everybody. It was such a pleasant surprise, it matches majority of 4-star hotels in US. It is very close to Vatican city (walking distance) and to most of major attractions in the city, it has its own garage and in overall it has great location. It is very modern, typical western hotel. I would choose to stay in this hotel if I plan to visit Rome again. I found the staff very helful with giving directions on how to get to the airport etc. I would highly recommend.

ME AND MY HUSBAND WENT TO JOLLY HOTEL LEONARDO DA VINCI IN JAN.2005. OUR STAY AT THE HOTEL WAS QUITE PLEASANT. THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT FOR US. THE AREA WAS A DECENT RESIDENTIAL AREA WHICH WAS A PLUS FOR US. IT WAS 15-20 MIN. WALKING DISTANCE FROM SPANISH STEPS, TREVI FOUNTAIN, ETC. U COULD PREFER TO GET THERE EITHER BY METRO OR TAXI AS WELL. JUST 100 METERS AHEAD WAS A LARGE AVENUE CALLED COLA DI RIENZO WHICH WAS A GOOD SPOT FOR SHOPPING. ROME IS A GREAT CITY AND THE HOTEL MADE IT EVEN BETTER.OUR ROOM WAS A BIT SMALL BUT WAS ENOUGH FOR US. WHEN WE GO BACK TO ROME (WHICH WE CERTAINLY WILL!), WE CERTAINLY WILL STAY AT THE JOLLY HOTEL LEONARDO DA VINCI AGAIN FOR SURE...

We stayed for 5 nights and where overall very happy with the hotel. Clean, quiet and in a great location just a 15 min stroll from the vatican and other places you'd want to visit. Rooms are not overy spacious but thats the norm in Rome. We found a wonderful pasta restaurant just down the same street (Via dei Gracchi 55) called Il Matriciano. Their Bucatini Matriciana is just divine and the tiramisu is the best we tried in rome (and we tried it in every restaurant we went to) plus the chocolate fondant dessert (hot and runny in the middle) is heaven for chocolate-lovers. A nearby pizzeria called San Marco which is always packed of natives (make sure you reserve) is also worth a visit. All in all a great option if what you want is peace and quiet after the bustle of sightseeing. We'll definitely be going back.

The hotel was nice and clean, the bed was TERRIBLE! I should have slept on the floor. I also think that the front desk person may have ripped me off with the exchange rate? How does 146.00 in Euros equate to a over $200 U.S??? $1.30(US) was the high exchange rate at the time of our visit, but they charged much higher than that!! Location was good, close to a metro station.

A recommander. En tout cas nous y retournerons sûrement ! La chaîne Jolly Hotel est toujours agréable.

The hotel is a typical "business" hotel ... not much character but decorated to a fairly high standard, and staff were competent. The room was clean; nice bathroom and nicely decorated. The hotel is situated 5 mins from Lepanto metro station, although it's a comfortable walk into Piazza Navona and beyond, and close to St Peters and Vatican Museums. Short businessride to Trastevere. ...though I'm not sure if we didn't end up with a double bed because the staff didn't seem to understand, or because there aren't any available... instead we had two singles pushed together *sigh* Overall, a pretty decent stay at the EUR150 per night which we paid.

We had a lovely stay at the Jolly Hotel Leonardo da Vinci. The hotel is in a quiet residential area on the Vatican-side of the Tiber but near the Piazza del Popolo; about a 20 min. stroll to the Vatican, but close to public transit (7 min. walk to Metro). The hotel is modern in design/concept. Our room was very clean and comfortable; bath had a tub/shower with plenty of hot water for a nice relaxing soak after a long day of site-seeing. It also had a well-stocked mini-bar. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous, and spoke excellent English. Besides the normal help with sight-seeing and money exchange, they were most helpful in arranging a private car to the airport for 4:00 in the morning. When we booked our early bird departure from Rome, we were unaware there was no public transit available in Rome after 1 am. (bus, train, or taxi). Breakfast was included in our room rate. It featured a good buffet which included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, assorted cheeses, fresh fruit, croissants, rolls, french toast, cereal, an assortment of juices, and coffee or tea. We also had dinner at the hotel. The restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere, and the food and service were very good. The seafood antipasto 'bar' was excellent; nice selection of seafoods and salad greens, etc. for an insalada mista. The Hotel Jolly Leonardo da Vinci was a good experience--clean, comfortable, resonably priced, close to sites, but not in all the 'hustle-bustle'. We were very pleased with our stay, would definitely recommend it, and stay there again.

This hotel was the last hotel we stayed in on a twelve day trip around Europe. The hotel never emailed me confirmation, and so there was no reservation for us when we arrived. After an unpleasant conversation with the desk clerk, we were able to get two rooms at the original rate we booked at. (But only because that was their going rate.) However, the hotel itself was very nice, especially for the rate we received ($100 a night).

We had an excellant stay at this hotel, well located close to the river and the main shopping streets of Rome and at the same time close to St Peters.
