An ancient palace situated in a typical Venetian courtyard, in the very heart of town, 100 mt. from St. Mark square. When a yong Venetian nobleman came of age he was obligated by tradition to get to Doge's Palace and there, surrounded by his relatives and friends, to present himself to all the Venetian Nobility. When the solemn cerimony was over, to celebrate his firts steps in the political life of the town, he and his most intimate friends would come to the Bottega del Remedio, an ancient meeting place and inn, situated in the street of that name, Calle del Remedio, to taste the bussolai (ring-shaped cakes) and Malvasia, a Middle East wine said to have healing virtues and for this called Remedy.
