DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! when we arrived in the hotel we had to wait 20minutes as there was noone in the reception. we then were situated in a room below the reception it was ver very noisey everytime the recption man moved we could hear him. we asked to change (as we could not sleep of all the noise) and the man said tomorrow as there were no rooms (being a big sign on the door saying "rooms available"). when we asked to change the following morning he said we hed to pay £5 for the laundry because we wanted to change rooms. the recioption man is very un helpfull and doesn't have consideration. apart from that the breakfast room is joined to the reception area therefore it is very very small. i do not recomend this hotel at all.

We basically got what we paid for. We had a twin share room on the top floor (9 flights of stairs that were about 50cm wide and of course there is no lift). The roof leaked above one of the beds, bathroom (which consisted of shower, toilet and basin) was about 1m x 1.5m. Shower was only freezing cold or boiling hot. But the bed was comfy and that was all we really wanted it for as we were out all day. The staff were friendly (sometimes too much so).

At the time of our arrival with 19h00 the room was not ready, one could deposit our luggage, but we could not change us. On our return to 22h30 the beds were ready. We were placed with the basement, very wet, unpleasant odor. Water 1m2 room, does not appear clean. Very noisy valves and fittings. Water turned off tap leakage. Side shower to await 5 ' to have hot water with 8h00 morning. Side noise, from water fell from a pipe to 3 m in height permanently. In addition to the noises of the neighbours. Not very sound-proof hotel. Result it was necessary to put earplugs to be able to sleep. Side breakfast, the place misses beyond 6 people, and to provide itself with its knife, there are only 4 of them!!! Even if the reception is good that absolutely the lack of comfort does not compensate. One would need a visit of hygiene in this hotel. Renouveler host piping and to arrange the electric installation.

The cleaning lady was stealing/eating crisps and candy from us when we where out, and she was supposed to clean our room. She did not clean anything. The only thing she did, was to make the bed. Very poor!

This hotel is the worst hotel that I stayed in. I paid 27 Pounds, and they blocked 2 times this amount from my credit card. But this is nothing... The single ensuite room that they announced on web site of hotel actually was a room dormitary with a two bed, there was no toilet inside. But the guy in reception said me before paying, "the WC is just a few stairs away from room and it is only for you", but it was not correct, WC was situated in another level and all person used it and it was dirty. About room, incredibily dusty and cover of pillow was dirty. I could not stand on the carpet with my foot, and the heating system did not work. Shower, I think one cannot call it as a shower! There is no word for it. I asked about breakfast one day before, they said to me that it is till 09h30, when I descended exactly at this time, they said it is already finished at 09h00. Breakfast means just cornflakes.I heart all sounds at 02h00 from other room, I requested from receptionist to warn that room's guests, but he answered to me that this is my responsability to knock their door.Owner and personel are Indian origin, but they do not show Indian hospitality and humanity to the guests, they are away from this nice culture, they just like money, in the first minute they asked money, even two times "money please"! I hope that Venere will remove this hotel from their list. Venere should select the hotels and keep them according to general opinions come from customers, and also staff of Venere should supervise hotels as well. As a result, I never ever suggest that hotel!!!!!! I forgot to take my digital camera, otherwise I would show here some photos to prove my claims.

The single room so little that the door couldn't be opened totally; it was colder than outside. The bathroom was still dirty from the previous guest. The only thing that I appreciated a lot was the crew (that was really kind and friendly)and the surrounding area that was good in services and transports.

You basically get what you pay for. The people was very nice but the service, as you may understand, is not exactly the best: we had to share a towel in two people for several days, the room was not properly done and the television was not working. Luckily anyway, we got an en-suite bathroom for the price of a standard room. Anyway we had to climb over several floors to reach our room (no lift available)

Grande delusione. DA EVITARE ACCURATAMENTE!!!!!!

WHAT A NIGHTMARE! WILL I GET MY MONEY BACK? I DON'T THINK SO. Freindly at book in @ about 16h00. Found room to be less than enchanting. Cutlery looked as if it had never been cleaned with old food now congealed with dust to make a gluey sticky paste on all the utensils and cutlery. Cupboard consisted of coathangers on the TV Support arm. Shower had not been cleaned, in fact empty dispenser bags were still in the shower cradle with bubbles on it. Bedlinnen looked soiled and un-ironed. Only 1 towel. No, not per person, per room it seemed. Had to be an oversight. Went back down 2 flights of stairs to complain. Receptionist was apologetic and said that they had had trouble with the cleaning lady, but would we give them a minute or so to fix it. Sure, we are not unreasonable people, and understanding is our DOWNFALL. We went for a long walk returning at 23h00. Upon returning things had changed. THE CUTLERY HAD BEEN CLEANED. OUR ONE TOWEL HAD BEEN REMOVED AND NOW WE HAD NONE. THE SHOWER HAD STILL NOT BEEN CLEANED AND THE BEDLINNEN WAS STILL FILTHY. I WENT DOWN TO THE RECEPTIONIST WHO HAD GONE HOME AND WE NOW HAD TO FACE A NIGHT CLERK. He corrected the towel problem immediatly and gave me 2 towels. I asked if we were entitled to a face towel as well and he became beligerant, defensive and accusing saying that we were in budget type accomodations not a 4 star hotel and I should be happy with what I got at the price I paid. In vain I tried to explain that cleanliness is not only the entitlement of the users of 4 star establishments, but of all establishments. I then explained that I was at the end of a four week holiday having made use of only budget accomodations and cleanliness and towels were a feature of all thes establishments. I then asked if he was in a position to do something about the soiled bedlinnen and he said "only in the morning" "ONLY IN THE MORNING" So, sleep on the dirty stuff tonight and perhaps tomorrow we will fix you up!

TV in camera. Tipico hotel in stile inglese.

Bastante penoso.....Puajjjj !!!!

We got there a bit early, and were allowed to leave our suitcases in the narrow welcome area while we were invited in for continental breakfast, which was a bit crowded. Then we got a triple room instead of the double since the triple was on the ground floor while the double was 4 flights up which would be difficult with our luggage, and for no extra charge! The ensuite facility was an interestingly tight fit but very convenient for the price. Would highly recommend for budget accommodation. Can't beat the price (not even hostels) and the service is very decent and helpful, considering... and there was a colour TV! Close to Victoria Station, right next to the bustop for the 24 bus and close to cornershops, pharmacies, coffee shops, internet cafe etc.

Stafffs are not welcoming and polite. They always send me and my family to other hotel since they have no availability when we arrived. And the most important thing is the male staff in the reception treats girls good but not guys!!! And I have an incredible experience that the reception guy phoned up at 8am and ask me to check out immediately because my cousin was staying with me while we agreeded to pay 15 pounds more to add one person. In fact, the check out time is 10:30, but he just kept saying that we couldn't stay until 10:30, and we have to pay 20 pounds more if we want to stay until 10:30!!!! That's true!! Although Park Hotel is cheap, but Don't Go!!! Please Don't Go!!

When we arrived at Park Hotel, at first, the receptionist complained about paying by credit card and not by cash. We were then told that the rooms are across the road and were taken to another hotel (Orbigoe Hotel). The room we have been given was equipped with 3 beds and there was almost no room to move. We were not able to open the warderobe as the bed was so close, that the door would not fully open. Apart from that it was damaged. The bathroom was of a similar type. If you're interested, I can send a few pictures across. The breakfast room was located in the basement which was partly occupied by construction material. The breakfast itself was of very poor quality.

On arrival, we were told we must pay immediately, despite the website stating we needed to pay on departure. It also stated that breakfast was included. The receptionist told us this wasn't the case. Having printed the hotel description stating that 'all prices include breakfast', he backed down. (He really shouldn't have bothered as 'breakfast' is a loaf of value range bread, which you have to toast yourself. Unpleasant corn flakes are also served with milk with lumps in it. There was no room to sit down, so, on the first morning, had to eat standing up.) We didn't want to pay without seeing the room and we were given our room key. The room was unmade from the last guest, complete with unmade bed, rubbish on the floor and excrement all over the toilet seat. We were told it would be ready in one hour and it was. We arrived, however, after the advertised check in time. The receptionist initially wanted us to pay in cash. He only accepted a card payment reluctantly. The room was often extremely cold - the heating comes on about 7.30pm and off again a few hours later. It is not on again until 7.30am. Not very nice throughout the winter. The bathroom would have been funny if we didn't need to use it. It is built into a cupboard-sized area and you cannot use the toilet without the shower curtain across your face. The bathroom is also very dirty-there was grime all over it. The website says the hotel is close to Victoria station - it is closer to Pimlico underground. Our advice would be to try somewhere else. Very very rubbish.

A twin room in the centre of London for just 35Pounds is an unbeatable price and you should know that you can´t expect luxury for that price. The Room was in the cellar and it was so cold eventhough the heater was on. The view outside the window was to the stinky backyard and the cold creeped inside the room from the badly isolated window and door. There was a little bathroom, but I can´t believe that it is possible to take a shower in that broken and miniature facility. We got one towl and a little piece of soap to share.Breakfast was not included in the price. And after having a look at the so called "Dinning Room"-which was the reception in fact-we decided to have breakfast at Mc Donalds. There was a Hair Dryer, a telephone and facilities to prepare tea in the room, but I don´t know if they worked because I did not use them. The TV was alright, eventhough it was not Sat TV and there were no batteries in the Remote control. The Staff is not very competent but as I already said-the price is unbeatable.

I stayed at the Park Hotel for two nights in July 2004. When booking on Venere.com it clearly stated that I was reserving a double-room, without en suite and including breakfast. When I arrived at the hotel I had a double room (including ensuite) and NO breakfast. Of course I was happy that the room had ensuite facilities, one of the deciding factors in choosing this hotel is that breakfast was included. The hotel staff admitted that this problem had occurred in previous bookings through Venere, and agreed to give us breakfast for two mornings for the price of one. Late in the evening of our first night I was called upstairs to reception and advised that maintenance work to the bathroom had to be carried out the following day to our room, which meant we had to move to a smaller room the following morning. This was a bit of an inconvenience re-packing and moving again, but the hotel staff made sure that they had a key ready for us at breakfast time, and did not pressure us into moving by a certain time. Although it was slightly annoying having to move, the staff did all they could to make it as easy as possible for us to do this. Overall, I was happy with the hotel itself, but disappointed in the level of accuracy from Venere as to the type of booking made.

Positive -location of the hotel -price -non smoking room like reserved Negative -it seemed my reservation was not known and the staff was becoming really nervous -breakfast was not included! -paying in advance -price for 5 nights (incl. breakfast) as booked cash 200 GBP - with credit card 250 GBP (I went 20 minutes through rain in the night to find a cash machine) -room was very small (it was a triple!) and scruffy But the very best were the "pets" in the room. I found to "sweet" bugs (Now I know it were Bed Bugs) and we took a "souvenir" away from this hotel - Body Lice! I'm sure because I caught two on my body and have they identified (see link). http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000838.htm I don't want impair somebody, but if you reserve this hotel you should be informed. If my comments will be published, please publish alo this German translation.

We wanted to stay in the Park Hotel because it's location is just perfect to see London. As we were arriving very late at the Hotel they told as the internet special offer is not available anymore but we could share a single the first night and will be moved into a double the second night - they give rooms away to higher paying Walkins and offer the online bookers options like these. We weren't very impressed about this hotel and as we refused the single room which we didn't reserved the front desk man requested a cancellation fee - after that we just left because we did't have a nerve for that. Good thing about this accommodation is'ts very clean.

fair customers value - don't expect anything and you will be surprised of the good service and reasonable rooms in that price category!

The Hotel is very central, has very basic amenities but is clean. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and a hotel in a central location, the Park is a good hotel.

Ideal location, reasonable rooms and extremely friendly staff! Would have enjoyed my stay more had my airline not lost my suitcase, for the Park Hotel an overall 7/10!

The staff was really nonchalant about our problems and we had to ask/call twice to get anything going. Problems like no milk, no bread, no water at all coming out of the warm water tap, and the shower head falling off the ceiling (yes, the shower head is ON the ceiling. Makes a good effect--like showering in the rain). They also just kept the money we paid them directly in their pocket and not into the cash register. Other than that, we got brand new beds and carpet--they were still working on it when we came back at 7 pm. There were temporarily no bedside table for putting watches, alarm clocks, ear rings, etc. I hope they have the tables now--the order didn't arrive in time. Location wise, it is further from the victoria station than we thought. The number on Belgrave is also strange. It increases in number, then it was a totally unrelated street name and then the number decreases after this unrelated street. Keep walking if you are already on Belgrave. There are tons of hotels on this road.

the only fault I found was that I could not keep my room key with me. At one stage I had to wait for about 10 minutes while the receptionist booked someone in, this is not good business.

Price on the website included breakfast and when we arrived the owner refused breakfast unless we paid extra. The en suite bathrooms are little plastic cubicles which smell bad.
