The reception were very nice and very helpful. However the staff serving breakfast were quite rude, blunt and unhelpful. The rooms were too warm and we could not open our window enough to cool the room down.

Lovely place with friendly competent staff. Our room had a large bay window overlooking the street below. Quiet and good for sleeping. Breakfast offered was tastey and filling. On the downside the lift and the shower were a little small.

I lived on 5. floor and it was too hot in the room. It was only possible to open the window a little.

Initial price quoted on internet was a mistake (ridiculously low). Once this was renegotiated we still had a good deal. Location of hotel good. We were given a top floor room which was excellent. English breakfast was very good as was the service but the breakfast room is too small for the hotel. Would recommend if price is reasonable.

I found this to be a very pleasant hotel in a good area of London. The room wasn't huge but was adequate for two people. The staff were professional and friendly, especially the breakfast staff. The surrounding area is very well served for amenities - restaurants, cafes, pubs, tube stations (2 within a 5 minute walk) and Hyde Park is near.

The price for the quality of the room I was given was very high!it's a good solution when wanting to save money but not stay in a hostel...

The accomodation is a bit far away from the underground. The room price is a bit expensive unless the breakfast is included.

Generally speaking, it is a good and friendly hotel, where we would like to stay again. But - and that is why my rating is not better - we got an absolutely substandard basement rooom, small, looking out on the laundry-bags and noisy. We had booked well in advance, so there was no reason to give us this room. The reaction to my complaint was, that they were fully booked and it costed me a lot of talking, until they gave us a better room on the 1st floor the next day. That room was nice and worth the money . So make sure you do not get a basement room - room numbers starting with a 1. Breakfast is good and - unlike some comments I read here - the breakfast-room was not to small. I wonder - why do hotels often try to give you a bad room and trust they get away with it - or do not offer such rooms for half the rate? If I were not an experienced and self-confident traveller, leave alone spoke little English we had spent all the time in that bad basement room.

Where to start. Very hot day. Fridge didn't work. Iam diabetic needed to put my insuline in cool place. Fridge couldn't be repaired or changed before my departure ( 2 days later). No elevator. I was on the 6th floor with a bad heart condition, Risk of a heart attack everytime I climbed to my room. Had to skip breakfast because I was afraid to go up right after. My insuline I had forgotten in the room after check out, was trown in the trash ( a metal syringe called Novopen!!). instead of beeing brought to the reception. Had to spend 2 hours in emergency at nearby hospital to get an injection. Found out just before leaving the hotel that there was a room available on the ground floor ( aparently kept for emergencies) all the time I was there and finally the manager ( absent for the 3 days I was there)never reacted to my letter explaining all this.

BEWARE Take your earplugs, our room was on the lower ground floor so all street noise audible also walls paper thin - so we heard every noise the neighbours made!! Room tiny it was only just possible to walk around the bed. Trying to pass a room like this off as a double a disgrace. The kettle had a European plug and no adapter and we had to go to reception and pay 5 pounds deposit for an adapter to have a cup of tea. Two good points - the breakfast was great and the location brilliant.

Nice, efficient hotel, friendly staff with pay-for-access WiFi. Not far from two metro stops and a short walk to Paddington Station. Only drawbacks are: (1) noticed the safety certificate of the electric plug in my bathroom expired in 2006; and (2) the lift was "being repaired" during my stay - which in this case meant a maximum of two people could ride at a time. I just mention in case the lift is still "being repaired" six months from now. Otherwise, great location, quiet street around the corner from a small high street.

It's quite difficult to find a good bedroom in London for a good price. We've tried different hotels in the last 3 years and this is the best we've found. The room is clean with a good bed and a new bathroom with a cabin shower. The room is quiet and the heat is just fine (it was January and it was warm enough inside). We slept very well. The departure day we left the luggage in a cloakroom for free. To sum up we had a very pleasant stay.

Nice stay. Double room large enough, bed quite comfortable, small bathroom with toilet perhaps too close to the wall (I'm tall and noticed it) and excellent shower. Ugly carpet on the floor, but clean. Some little holes in the sheet. Price that would be too high elsewhere, but good for London. 10 minutes walk from Bayswater underground station.

Sorry. But,I only write in Portuguese. Eu e meu marido consideramos um bom custo benefício. O café da manhã é fraco e os quartos e banheiros menores do que parecem nas fotos do site

We had a very pleasant stay. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The hotel can be recommended. Small room as well as a very small breakfastroom is on the negative side.

Room would once have been a very pleasant ground-floor room with a bay-window. Now split right down the middle, and therefore tiny, but at least I had most of the window! Television was broken. Good shower in the bathroom, though. Radiators very fierce! Staff were happy to look after my bags, including laptop, during the day after I'd checked out.

The single romm on the 6th floor is probably the smallest room I've ever slept in, but overall quality is good, rooms are clean, staff helpfull, hotel is close to various bus stops to center London & neighbourhood is friendly.

The first night we got a smal single room with an extra bed - even thought we booked a double bed and it was confirmed. Very bad. They changed it the day after and then everything was terrific. The room was smaller then the pictures but nice, fresch and clean. The staff was very friendly. It is a very good hotel for the pricerange it is in.
